A Realtor® is a real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) as well as a local board of Realtors®. The Las Vegas local Realtor® association is called the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors® (GLVAR). Realtors® have different guidelines and standards than just any ole real estate agent.
A Las Vegas Realtor® must agree to a code of ethics and standards. This code outlines responsibilities and duties owed to clients as they buy, sell, or exchange property. Fines can be imposed and licenses are in jeopardy if an agent's conduct is found to be misleading, dishonest, or fraudulent.
A full service Las Vegas Real Estate Agent should be a Realtor®. The higher standard they accept benefits the public and instills confidence in the marketplace. Be sure your agent is a Realtor® before working with him or her.
